Enjoy mainline running on Jim Pendley’s scenic Western Pacific layout. We share a partial history of the Western Pacific’s Feather River Route through the Sierra Nevada. The Western Pacific Railroad main feature shows the WP’s Feather River Route and Highline, including the Keddie Wye, Keddie Yard, Oroville, and the Feather River Canyon. You’ll see the WP work alongside other railroads from the 1960s to the 1980s. We include a creative ridealong in the canyon and a cab ride around the layout.

Agricultural Deal Saves the Freedom Valley Branch

See Bob Daschofsky’s freelanced layout based in Washington State. The mythical branch line is owned by the Burlington Northern and based in the 1970s. On the Freedom Valley feature, you’ll see the Burlington Northern and its predecessor railroads working the town’s industries and the line through the Blue Mountains.
