Winter Valley Regional Railway in 1:29
Watch this busy shortline at work in western Alberta, Canada. The Winter Valley’s 115-mile-long main line was formerly a branch line of the Canadian National Railway. The 1:29 scale railroad serves several rural communities that stretch across the valley and nearly to the Rocky Mountains, hauling mostly grain and small shipments. You’ll enjoy seeing this unusual G scale railroad and learning of its history. Dave custom-built the structures and created detailed, picturesque scenes that you’ll appreciate on this unique railroad. The movie includes railfanning video of the WVRR’s custom locomotives and leased CN motive power hauling trains along the shortline and a cab ride around the layout.
Pacific Northwestern Railroading in HO
You’ll see mostly the Canadian Pacific (both steam and diesel) on Brett’s HO scale freelanced layout based in the Pacific Northwest region of both Canada and the United States. Brett built a beautiful, mountainous layout that provides a great backdrop for the trains and his methods in creating the beautiful scenery are surprising. Alongside the CP, you’ll see a few Great Northern trains and a British Columbia Railways train climbing the grades. This feature explores some of the history of the prototypical railroads in the Canadian Rockies and Washington State.
The movie contains video of both layouts along with a narrated story. Blu-ray + DVD orders will processed and shipped out within 10 days of ordering. All US orders include free shipping.
